Well, I brought my Cold Steel LTC Khukri from my apartment to my Mothers house to do some yardwork, and it needed sharpening. The only thing that worked was the Spyderco Webfoot 308CBN because of the compound curves and angle of the S-style recurve of a Khukri style blade.by jasonstone20 - Product Review/Feedback

The new forum really didn't take off, but at the very least I think the old forum should stay up. UPDATE: I just received the Spyderco 308CBN Webfoot as a gift. I can with a plastic stand that allows for a 15* sharpening angle vs the normal 20* of the Golden Stone and the Weboot. Total weight for both sharpening units and stand in their suede leather sheaths is 1.1lbs. More to come, including pictures and videos, once I get some personal and family business taken care of. I used the 18" Ontario Machete and the 8" Cold Steel Drop Forged Survivalist in 52100 for some yard work that needed to be done at my Mom's house. The Machete has a more resilient coating than the previous version of the Machete I owned(and easier to clean), which I gifted to my friend so he'd have something for home defense, since he moved to Oregon from New York City, and dby jasonstone20 - New Knives, and New to You Knives

Ok, I have had the knife for a few days, and I am very happy with it. It came very sharp, as sharp as Spyderco knives come new, and as sharp as I can get a knife. I did some bush trimmng/chopping with it, and cooked lunch with it. I will get pictures and a full review once I have used it more. I can probably come up with $100 of my own money to keep the Old Forum and the New Forum up and running, so that just leaves $100 that needs to be raised. I will be happy to take donations, I really think having the Olf Forum and Cliff Stamps work and research is important to the knife community. The price to keep the forum going if you guys want that option instead of going to a message board, is around $200. I don't have the money, and the site expires in June or July I believe, $200 will keep this site up and running for another 2 years.by jasonstone20 - Announcements

Older_Spice, Well there is an Instagram messenger group as well as a Facebook Messenger. I started 3 of them because that is the only way I could be in contact with everyone, people have issues with one service or another, so they don't use it. Hey Curmudgeon!!! I am working on a project, I will post it here. I am going to do a live stream discussing pocket knife sharpeners. I am just waiting on getting enough money to buy the Spyderco Webfoot, as I already have the Golden Stone, and maybe a few others. alkai, Yeah, unfortunately renewing the security certificate costs money, I am working on raising it, but I don't think this forum is going to be here much longer.
