Question about linking to YT videos

Is it possible for me to link to a YT video here without ending up with a miniature viewer embedded in the post?

The miniature viewer is fine sometimes, but is not desirable when I want to include a link to a YT video as a reference rather than as a central feature of a post.

I seem to end up with a miniature viewer no matter what I do:

• Including the link as plain text results in a miniature viewer being displayed.
• Including the link inside "link" tags, either with or without alt text, results in a miniature viewer being displayed.
• Wrapping the above in "formatted code" tags does not help.

I wish there were a way around this. If there is please let me know.

just take out the https:// it won't be a line anymore, but someone can copy and past into youtube or right click and launch it with their browser.

Yeah, sorry it was all I could find. I am still kind of new to how this "Phorum" system works, I need to dig up some documentation on it and give it a read.
