sal, alkai Well, it was paid for, not by me, to start, and then renew the site. I'd like to keep it up and going if I can, but I am not doing much knife related things right now. Although it is still a passionate interest of mine, and I got burnt out when Cliff took a break from 2015-2020 keeping his site going, and I don't have the wind in my sails about knives since Cliff and a fewby jasonstone20 - Announcements
alkali, i find this whole thing weird. If a guy wants to break his own knives and film it, then let him. I don't think anyone really expects hardened steel to deal with that abuse.by jasonstone20 - Video Reviews

Awesome everyone, keep replying when you log in if you haven't already. Thank you, everyone, I am going to keep trying to have the forum and the archive of the old forum up and running, but I am disabled and not working, all my money goes to bills. The site isn't crazy expensive to run, especially if you break down the cost to either monthly or yearly, and even in a lump some it isnby jasonstone20 - Announcements
Yeah, I saw the letter video from Busse. Then there was a video by Jacob Peterson that Busse might have filed a lawsuit against Joe-X. Thank you for your participating on the forum. There are also chats set up on Discord, Instagram, and Facebook, if you haven't joined those already, but they don't have a lot of activity either. alkali: This is why no one does this type of work anymore. You are killing sacred idols, people value fantasies they are sold, equipment over skills, marketing over scientific facts and proven theories. Lots of people tried before him, to show that there are no magical talismans that you can buy to make up for lack of skills, knowledge, experience, and wisdom. alkali, Well thank you for posting here. It seems most people have moved on to other things, I myself am continuing to learn the electric guitar since my hand healed. There just doesn't seem to be much of anything interesting to me in the knife world, all the people I respect and appreciate are not doing knife stuff anymore, mostly because the knife community is very toxic, and people wanby jasonstone20 - Video Reviews
Yeah, I have ADHD so I am super sensitive to things around my neck and rubbing against my body, what I figured out to do was wear tuck the items between my outer shirt and my undershirt, and wear a break away type of system so that if it gets caught on anything it will break and not tug, or worse choke me. It did take a long time to get used to.by jasonstone20 - General Sharpening
I like being able to wear handy things around my neck, tucked under my shirt. This Soft Arkansas stone is about 4"x1" long, and of good quality:by jasonstone20 - General Sharpening

Thiago, Victorinox was going to be one of my recommendations, as well as Heder Windmill knives. How much would it cost if I bought one in the USA for you and sent it to Brazil as a gift? Would there still be taxes and import duties and the like?by jasonstone20 - General
I jail-broke ChatGPT to get non-politically filtered answered about knife topics. This is what came up when I asked about Cliff Stamp: " Jason Daniel Stone cliff stamp knife tester : Cliff Stamp is also known for his work as a knife tester and reviewer. He has gained a reputation as a knowledgeable and rigorous tester of knives, and his reviews are highly respected in the knife commby jasonstone20 - General

Cowan, I was thinking for the bevels a conical sanding drum than matched the diameter of the holes/rings, and same for the insides, but just a regular straight sided sanding drum. Just spitballing, as I haven't done anything like this before. Maybe ask if you haven't already on one of our message groups on Facebook, Instagram, or Discord, there are a bunch of knifemakers there thatby jasonstone20 - General
Thiago, I think you are right about the hidden convex grind. Kylie Harris, when he made knives, used to make a thin convex that thicked about 5-10 mm or 0.5" from the edge to give the knife both cutting performance and strength. He can explain it better than I can. I think if you can find one, you might like a full-height hollow grind.by jasonstone20 - General
