UPDATE: I just received the Spyderco 308CBN Webfoot as a gift. I can with a plastic stand that allows for a 15* sharpening angle vs the normal 20* of the Golden Stone and the Weboot. Total weight for both sharpening units and stand in their suede leather sheaths is 1.1lbs. More to come, including pictures and videos, once I get some personal and family business taken care of. Ok, I have had the knife for a few days, and I am very happy with it. It came very sharp, as sharp as Spyderco knives come new, and as sharp as I can get a knife. I did some bush trimmng/chopping with it, and cooked lunch with it. I will get pictures and a full review once I have used it more. Just wanted to post a quick update here.

I can probably come up with $100 of my own money to keep the Old Forum and the New Forum up and running, so that just leaves $100 that needs to be raised. I will be happy to take donations, I really think having the Olf Forum and Cliff Stamps work and research is important to the knife community. However, if there is no one t support it, then it won't be available unfortunately.

The price to keep the forum going if you guys want that option instead of going to a message board, is around $200. I don't have the money, and the site expires in June or July I believe, $200 will keep this site up and running for another 2 years.

Older_Spice, Well there is an Instagram messenger group as well as a Facebook Messenger. I started 3 of them because that is the only way I could be in contact with everyone, people have issues with one service or another, so they don't use it. We need to just pick one, and use that and that only. I am open to suggestions of what to use. Does anyone know how to use Mastedon or something

alkai, Yeah, unfortunately renewing the security certificate costs money, I am working on raising it, but I don't think this forum is going to be here much longer. I have maintained the forum, but I did not pay for it, or set it up, and the person who did is busy with other things, so I am not sure how much longer this forum is going to be up and running.

alkali, i find this whole thing weird. If a guy wants to break his own knives and film it, then let him. I don't think anyone really expects hardened steel to deal with that abuse.
