I took about 40 pics for this... just wanted to see what's going on.

Destressed edge: [i.imgur.com]

After 140 passes 22dps: [i.imgur.com]

Started shaving leg hair about 150 passes: [i.imgur.com]

Giving up at around 200 passes, alternating and crossing scratch pattern. I started adding force towards the end because I couldn't detect any changes on the last six sets and photos. Shaves leg hair well but will not catch anything above skin : [i.imgur.com]

I have had more aggressive edges from the Atoma 140 I think, but maybe there was more burr on the edge.

I heard sharpening Ti was tricky. I sharpened ceramic utility blades, and the way the material wears. Steel used in knives wears by plastic defomation, and the ceramic utility knives wears by chipping, so a different approach had to be used, which was using the stropping wheel on the Tormek T4 loaded with 1u diamond spray, and then they got to the sharpness I wanted. I am not sure how Ti wears, but I do remember it is tricky to get an edge on. There was an Old Forum member who made knives and swords out of Ti, maybe he will chime in on the best way to sharpen it.
